Notice of Board Meeting
VIRTUAL MEETING
The Linwood Board of Education will hold a Board Retreat on Wednesday, February 24,
2021 at 7:00 PM completely virtually. For members of the
public that wish to attend the virtual Board of Education Meeting, it will be live streamed via the Linwood
School District Facebook account. The District will also be posting a phone number for
members of the public to call in and listen if they do not have access to the livestream. The
public will be able to participate in public comment by calling in to a designated phone
number as well. These numbers will be made available to the public on the District website,
on the doors of each school, City Hall, and the Linwood Library on Thursday, February 18,
2021.
In addition, the Board will also be accepting e-mail and written comments on agenda and
non-agenda items up to 4:00 PM Monday, February 22, 2021. You may email comments to
publiccomments@linwoodschools.org or mail them to the Board Secretary at 51 Belhaven
Avenue, Linwood, NJ 08221. Comments will only be read aloud if they are received by 4:00
PM Monday, February 22, 2021, and they include the name and home address of the sender
in the email. All comments, regardless of length, may be held to a three-minute time limit
when read aloud, pursuant to Board Policy.
Please note, we do not discuss confidential student matters during the public portion of the
meeting, and public members seeking a response on such items should email the
Superintendent separately. The Board reserves the right to not respond to any particular
comment, and to not read aloud comments which are profane, obscene, or otherwise
inappropriate under the Board’s bylaws. Please be further advised, that by reading emailed
or mailed comments during the meeting the Board does not endorse, or intend to endorse,
any statements made during the public comment periods and the person submitting such
statement is responsible for any statements found to be slanderous, defamatory, or in
violation of the law.
